U of A SME Student Chapter 27th Annual DIGGERS and DUFFERS Golf Tournament
The University of Arizona SME Student Chapter annual golf tournament is the perfect opportunity to network while enjoying an afternoon on the amazing and beautifully maintained JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort Golf Course.
This Annual Diggers & Duffers Golf Tournament is an ongoing tradition for the University of Arizona’s SME Student Chapter and also acts as our primary fundraiser throughout the Academic Year. The proceeds from this tournament will be used directly to help the student members who wish to attend the MINEXCHANGE 2023 SME Annual Conference & Expo. The SME Annual Conference & Expo is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about a variety of aspects within the mining industry, in addition to interaction with industry professionals, professors and other mining students.

The proceeds from this tournament are used to directly help student members experience such meaningful professional and educational opportunities such as this. Other events throughout the year include University Career Fairs, SME MINEXCHANGE in Denver, the Intercollegiate Mining Games in Golden CO, and field trips to historic mining districts throughout southern Arizona.
