About the Annual Meeting of the SME Arizona Conference
SME began managing the conference in 1982 to preserve the December meeting of the original Arizona subsections conference. The Annual Meeting of the SME Arizona Conference is the annual gathering of SME Arizona sections including the Grand Canyon Section, Maricopa Section, Tucson Section, Cochise Section, Gila Valley Section, Morenci Section, and Pinal Mountain Section. This regional conference focuses on the development and growth of the Southwestern mining industry. The conference explores trends, technology and development impacting the region and the effects industry changes have on local mining developments. The Annual Meeting of the SME Arizona Conference generates more than 500 attendees annually and has a long standing history of program excellence.
